About Me

Nate was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he dabbled in art from a young age but did not start painting regularly until his early twenties. In 2009 he made his way out to Oregon, where the mountains and natural beauty inspired him to go back to school and study art. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Art Practices from Portland State University, focusing primarily on painting and sculpture. In 2022 he moved back to Wisconsin and began oil painting with the intention of doing more plein air painting. These days he can be found wandering all over Wisconsin looking for interesting locations to paint, whether they are landmarks with nostalgic value, roadside attractions, or mundane scenes that have a beauty and significance if one really stops to look.
